How to Wash and Care for Your Custom Printed Apparel

Make Your Custom Prints Last Forever

You've just received your favorite custom graphic tee or hoodie. The colors are vibrant, the fit is perfect. But one wrong cycle in the washing machine can ruin the print. Follow this definitive care guide to preserve your apparel.

1. Always Wash Inside Out

This is the golden rule. Turning the garment inside out protects the printed graphic from the friction of the washing machine agitator and other clothes.

2. Cold Water Only

Heat is the enemy of ink. Washing in cold water (30°C / 86°F or lower) prevents the print from cracking, fading, and peeling. It also prevents the cotton from shrinking.

3. Skip the Tumble Dryer

The intense heat of a dryer will warp and crack even the highest quality DTG prints and screen prints. **Air drying / Line drying** is the safest method. If you absolutely must use a dryer, use the "Tumble Dry Low" setting.

4. Do Not Iron on the Print

Never apply an iron directly to the graphic. If the shirt is wrinkled, iron it inside out on a low heat setting.
